Privacy Statement

  • General information Oceo talent recognizes and respects the privacy of candidates and applicants. This Privacy Statement concerns personal data submitted by you during your online or paper application as part of the recruitment process, and personal data submitted to apply to our Talent Pool. By clicking “Yes, I have read the Data Privacy Statement and I accept it”, you agree to Oceo Talent using and storing your personal data (including any sensitive personal data) in accordance with the description below.
  • Collection of personal data In order to apply to the talent pool you have to register a profile on our website using a username and a password of your own choice. Your username and password will be required to gain access to your profile. You can also apply by sending your Cv via email.

When applying for the candidate pool, you will be requested to submit personal information to your profile, such as your name, e-mail address, mobile phone number, your primary language and an attachment of your resume/CV. You may also be requested to provide additional information, such as your address, cover letter, relevant education and any other relevant information required for Oceo talent to evaluate your application. You may be requested to respond to various assessment tests, including assessment tests on logical reasoning and personality profiling. You will be informed prior to any collection of your personal data, including in case of references being collected during the recruitment process if required according to the applicable local law. Furthermore, we will obtain your explicit consent for sharing your profile with a third party company having a job offer corresponding to your qualifications.

Oceo talent is collecting information that makes it possible for us to assess your candidacy for some available positions. Oceo Talent is an equal opportunity recruitment agency and makes all employment-related decisions entirely on merit and qualifications. Consequently, you should only include information relevant for the review of your application, and disregard information such as your ethnic origin, your political or philosophical orientation, your religious beliefs, your union memberships or your sexual orientation.

  • Purpose of using your personal data Oceo talent uses the personal data submitted by you or collected from other parties for the purpose of assessing your candidacy for available positions, as well as for personnel administration purposes, evaluating the use of our websites for statistical purposes.
  • How we use your personal data By accepting this Privacy Statement you explicitly consent to authorize Oceo talent HR and IT authorized professionals and hiring managers involved in the recruitment, to gain access to any and all of the personal data submitted by you, included in your application.

For the purpose of administering our online recruitment site, suppliers of this system located globally can technically also gain access to your personal data. However, such suppliers providing services on behalf of Oceo talent have to meet segregation and high data security standards to protect your personal and sensitive data.

The personal data submitted by you during the talent pool or recruitment process may also be shared with any third party, courts, government body, regulator, law enforcement office or any other applicable authority, if mandated due to legal or regulatory requirements.

You understand and accept that the personal data you are submitting in connection with an application and other submitted personal information including potential assessment tests results, interview conclusions, etc. may be disclosed to HR professionals in Oceo trade, and its customers’ hiring managers based on your explicit consent.

  • Candidate Pool The Candidate Pool is a shared pool for candidates to release their profile and share their data in the database for future job opportunities. If you decide to release your profile in the Candidate Pool, you explicitly consent to your application and other submitted personal information including but not limited to potential assessment tests results, interview conclusions and an overview of previous applications (and whether they are in process, rejected, etc.) being made available and disclosed to authorized Oceo talent HR professionals around the world, including in territories other than your preferred employment location. The authorized HR professionals may access your profile when recruiting for a specific position, for statistical, operational or other legitimate purposes, etc.

You may check, change and update your personal data at any time by logging on to your profile.

  • Storage, deletion and deregistration The personal data submitted by you as part of your application process and other collected and submitted personal information, including potential assessment tests results, interview conclusions, etc., will be stored on a server in Germany. The maximum storage period is according to your local legal requirements for data submitted and collected in accordance with your applications, and commences as of the time of the rejection of your application.

Oceo talent stores your personal data to simplify the application process in the event you should choose to apply for another job. You give your explicit consent to Oceo talent storing your personal data in accordance with this Section.

If you are a candidate who has apply to our talent pool or applied for a position, you can ask at any time to have your profile deregistered.

  • Cookies Oceo talent may use information storage (commonly known as cookies) to allow you to more easily use our site and to enhance performance. The information contained in the cookies will only be accessible to Oceo talent. Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. If you wish, you may instruct your internet browser to prevent cookies from being used and to delete existing cookies.
  • Security Oceo talent takes all appropriate organizational and technical security measures to protect your personal data and has thus implemented necessary security measures in order to safeguard your data. Any personal data submitted will be treated as strictly confidential and will only be used for the purposes for which they are collected.

The transmission of your personal data online will be secured using digitally signed certificates, ensuring safe data communication.

  • Your rights – access, objection and rectification You have the right to gain access to the data processed about you, however with certain legal limitations. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data and to rectify the data processed if relevant.
